Four years after the album »Un paese di musichette mentre fuori c’è la morte«, the Romagna-based band Solaris return with a new full-lenght, »…e alla fine della storia non c’è alcuna redenzione«, to be released on May 23, 2025 via Bronson Recordings distributed by Universal Music.
Recorded in July 2024 at Vacuum Studio in Bologna by Enrico Baraldi and mastered by Matt Bordin at Outside Inside Studio, the album is the result of an intense creative phase that began in October ’23, following a handful of singles during which they engaged in a series of prestigious collaborations with Bruno Dorella (OvO, Bachi da pietra, Ronin), Nicola Manzan (Bologna Violenta), Ottone Pesante, and Xabier Iriondo (Afterhours, Buñuel).
The vision at that point was clear: to create a more direct album, characterized by tight, sharp and powerful sounds, that had its roots in noise-rock, with a visceral energy and great impact. A concentration of abrasive post-rock where the witch hunt, the scapegoat, the confusion between victim and executioner become metaphors of an irreversible internal drift. An album that digs deep into the tensions of the present, without sweetening or illusions.
Solaris are one of the greatest expressions of guitar oriented indie rock, moving with great awareness in that post-rock, post-metal, post-grunge, post-stoner territory that marks the lost generation of 30-year-olds. A sound that has become increasingly epic, granitic and of great impact over time. The never banal lyrics express all the discomfort that pervades a generation. A disillusioned band, a mirror of the decadent Italian outskirts.
The artwork by Matteo Bosi, entitled »Costellazioni #1«, is marked by its textured quality and the use of elements such as painted photography, wood, nails, rope, and bitumen, visually reflecting the tensions and sonic layers of the record.
»…e alla fine della storia non c’è alcuna redenzione« is out on CD, LP, and digital on Bronson Recordings: solarisnoise.bandcamp.com
