Lȳkaa sign with Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records and unveil first single »Izome« from forthcoming debut album »Light Eater«!

Chemnitz/Leipzig, Germany based dark heavy/doom metal band Lȳkaa has signed with Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records.

Now, Lȳkaa unveil »Izome«, the first single taken from their forthcoming debut album »Light Eater«, and the first release following their signing.

Argonauta Records is proud to announce that Lȳkaa have signed with their imprint Octopus Rising.

Formed during the pandemic winter of 2022 inside an old Cold War bunker, Lȳkaa channel isolation, decay and human darkness into a haunting blend of heavy doom metal, dark melodicism and post-punk-infused melancholy.

To celebrate the signing, the band have unveiled »Izome«, their first single and the opening glimpse into their forthcoming debut album »Light Eater«.

Combining dark heavy metal, doom-laden atmospheres and post-punk-infused melancholy, Lȳkaa create music shaped by isolation, tension and the darker side of human experience.

No occult rituals. No theatrical imagery. Just suffocating fog, delay-drenched guitars and heavy songs about surviving a hostile world.

With live appearances alongside Messa and Zhaat, Lȳkaa have already developed an intense and immersive presence. Now, with their fully produced debut album ready for release, a new chapter begins.
