Jablká Ďaleko od Stromu is a low profile blog focused on Slovak and Czech underground artists and occasional label / release collaboration.
“Jablká Ďaleko od Stromu proudly presents the 4th compilation from »Jablká & Doom« series. This time we’re bringing to your attention 10 bands from Slovak and Czech doom(y) underground music scene. Again, equally split between newer and older material, joining together post-hc sludgy stuff, death doom metal including some of its blackened atmo/ambient takes and of course good old stoner/psychedelic rock. We’ve got female, male vocals and some instrumental music covered here. I’ve tried sorting and grouping the tracks according to their vibe on two sides of the limited MC cassette: Side Euphoria and Side Hallucination.
The artwork of Vol.4 was made by Juraj / Blooming Stones who described the cover of the album as “It’s an ancient bust from which various types of stones are growing. I perceive it as a totemic fetish of stagnation and decay. It emerged very spontaneously and under the heavy influence of music, specifically “Village Creep” by Leechfeast”. A very important detail is the process of apple decay which is portrayed on the left side bar.
Final master was traditionally made by Matej Turcer from the studio PULP.
