Marche Funèbre share new single and lyric video »In A Haze«; new album »After The Storm« coming on September 27th via Ardua Music!

Mechelen, Belgium based doom/death metal band Marche Funèbre has released a lyric video for the first single »In A Haze« taken from their upcoming album, »After The Storm«, due out on September 27th, 2024 via Ardua Music.

The band comments: “We proudly present thee our newest fruit of work, »In A Haze«, the first single of our new album, which we titled »After The Storm«.

It was the first song we wrote since »Einderlicht« and we are super excited about the result. Producer Martin Furia got the very best out of us for sure. Thanks again maestro!

The lyric video was once again made by Razvan from Absynthe Moon Films, who did a fantastic job capturing the essence of what we stand for as a band. The lyrics deal about a miserable real life experience, a break-up. Please enjoy, like, comment, and share.”

We are thrilled to herald the return of Belgium’s renowned masters of doom/death metal – Marche Funèbre. The band have forged a new alliance with Ardua Music – a growing force in the dark music underground – for the release of their highly anticipated fifth full length album, »After The Storm«, which will be released on September 27th. Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Martin Furia (Nervosa, Toxik, Sisters Of Suffocation), »After The Storm« will undoubtedly be recognised as a new crowning glory amongst the glittering hoard of melancholy treasures that comprise Marche Funèbre’s momentous catalogue of work. Formed in Mechelen in 2008, Marche Funèbre’s previous releases include the highly regarded albums Into The Arms Of Darkness and their last full-length album, 2020s »Einderlicht«.

Today Marche Funèbre and Ardua Music have unveiled a first glimpse of the doom that awaits in the form of single, »In A Haze«. Reflective, measured, infused with haunting melody, progressing with purposeful stately tread and aflame with a fiercely passionate vocal performance, »In A Haze« is a wonderful foretelling of the power and depth of emotion to come.

The superb official lyric video that has been created to accompany »In A Haze« is available to view now at the Ardua Music YouTube channel – experience its magic here!

Formed early 2008 in Mechelen (Belgium), Marche Funèbre started out as disciples of doom death metal in the vein of the British bands that formed the scene in the 90ties. Later on, the quintet developed their own sound, combining elements from doom, death, black and heavy metal, meandering between soothing melodies and galloping riffs.

Meanwhile releasing an interesting discography, consisting of 4 full-length albums and a handful of other releases. On the live front they established their name through energetic shows all over Europe, and even landing them a US tour. They shared the stage with most of the big names in their scene and beyond.

On their 15th anniversary show the band waved long time guitar player Peter goodbye, while the doomed quintet still recorded their 5th album in their long lasting line-up, this time with renowned producer Martin Furia (Destruction, Nervosa). After finishing the recordings early 2024 a new guitar player was found in the form of Fré De Schepper (Carrion, Lemuria). With a new label (Ardua Music) and a new album under their belt, Marche Funèbre is ready for the next step in their career.
