Norwegian hard rock band Gjenferd returns with their second album, »Black Smoke Rising«, out March 6, 2026.

Building on the strong foundation of their debut, the album sharpens the band’s sound with stronger hooks, tighter songwriting, and a more direct, accessible approach – without sacrificing the dark edge that defines Gjenferd. Heavy riffs and swirling organ drive catchy vocal lines, revealing a clear pop sensibility beneath the heaviness.

Drawing inspiration from classic heavy rock acts like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, while embracing modern influences such as Ghost and Hällas, »Black Smoke Rising« marks a confident step forward.
