Richmond, Virginia based post-metal/post-hardcore/blackgaze one-man band Breaths presents his sophomore album, »Though Life Has Turned Out Nothing Like I Imagined, It Is Far Better Than I Could Have Dreamt«, which just dropped this Friday, January 21st, 2022 via Trepanation Recordings.

Breaths is the passion project of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Jason Roberts. After writng, recording, and releasing his debut album, »Lined In Silver« during the COVID pandemic, his sophomore album began taking shape. »Though Life…« is inspired by trauma throughout his life, but intends to show the listener that through it all there is s’ll hope and beauty to be found in this world. »Though Life…« combines elements of post-metal, black metal, doom metal, shoegaze, post-rock, progressive metal and post-hardcore into something unique and cohesive.

The album is for fans of Alcest, Deftones, Holy Fawn, Deafheaven, Sleep Token, Lantlos, and Astronoid.

»Though Life…«, Breaths’ sophomore album, further expands on the sound established on the debut, »Lined In Silver«, while remaining fresh and exciting. The album hopes to take the listener on a journey through Jason’s personal experiences, both light and dark, that will leave the listener feeling that though life has turned out nothing like he imagined, it is far better than he could have dreamt.
