Polish psychedelic rock/post-punk outfit Sonic Wasteland presents their debut album, »Tales From The Wasteland«, which was released on October 25th, 2024 via Jimmy Jazz Records.

Sonic Wasteland is a band, who’s members are known from many excellent Polish groups such as Elvis Deluxe, Czarzły, Soulburnes, Black Tapes and The Heavy Clouds. Friends from the stage meet again during a new situation…

“I’m not a fan of categorizing music, but if we had to put a label on our work, there would be ‘Dark Urban Folk’ written on it” Says Kuba Panow, the vocalist of Sonic Wasteland. He adds “In my immodest opinion, this is the best sounding work I’ve ever got to be a part of.”

Sonic Wasteland play psychedelic rock’n’roll, but they specify it as Dark Urban Folk in a raw and dirty form. Sonic Wasteland’s lyrics are inspired by the fall of civilization.

“Ideas for the lyrics come from my eternal fascination with horror, psychedelic western and post apocalyptic sci-fi visions. It’s all gloomy, dolorous and secretive, explaining how people are trying to play god, creator, talking about eternal life, inevitability of pain and suffering for the sins of humanity.” Kuba Panow says about the lyrics on the album »Tales From The Wasteland«.

The album »Tales From The Wasteland« was recorded in three places – Fun House Studio in Piaseczno, Mustache Ministry Studio in Warsaw and home studio of the band’s guitarist, Tomek “Bolek” Sierajewski.

Kamil Wyziński is responsible for recording and mixing the drums, Marcin Klimczak is responsible for the mastering. Bartosz Katastrofa created the cover.
