Smoke Rites draws inspiration from bands such as Black Sabbath, Sleep, Crowbar and High On Fire. The band was formed in the fall of 2020 in Warsaw, Poland.

The new Smoke Rites album, »Eager Eyes Of Talion« explores existential themes such as trauma, helplessness, death, and emotional numbness. The album’s sound was shaped by the band’s bassist, Adam Ziółkowski (mixing), and mastered by Haldor Grunberg of Satanic Audio, known for working with bands like Behemoth, Me And That Man and Dopelord.

The album artwork for »Eager Eyes Of Talion« was created by Michał Sobociński (This Is Madness).

The album was announced by two singles: »Death Is A Five Letter Word« featuring Monika Adamska-Guzikowska, vocalist of the band Toń, and the track »Nothing Never«.

Smoke Rites released their debut EP entitled »The Rite Of The Smoke« in 2021. It gathered positive reviews both at home and abroad. In March 2022, they recorded their first studio album »Total Lung Capacity« in Warsaw’s Santa Studio with the help of sound engineer Arkadiusz “Malta” Malczewski. Since then they have played a number of concerts alongside the likes of Bongzilla, O.D.R.A., Artillery and many others.
