Sergey Kosin about »The Promise«: “So, what do we have here? First of all – the original song – more doom, heavy and gothic vibes then in classic Dog Chasing Sun. Then, instrumental version, because i know, that most of DCS listeners don’t like growling (expecially, mine). And in the end, there is the alternative version of track as unnecessary bonus. Here is the bandcamp link, but single is also available on all streaming services.”

“I see that all this growling stuff as on the last single don’t like most of those who like the classic Dog Chasing Sun. So the bad news is that I will continue to move this direction and perhaps in an even more extreme way. The good news is that this won’t interfere with the classic stoner/doom instrumental Dog Chasing Sun in any way. It will continue to release.

I’m just an old fan of extreme music like doom, death, sludge and so on. And I don’t like when a doom band has a brutal low sound and at the same time high, whining vocal. Well, you know, the Monolord style. Love their music but vox – not my cup of beer. Thats all for now, stay tuned, more to come!” he adds.
