Litania formed in 2024, gathering members from Elli De Mon, The Great Northern X, Collars and The Black Heart Procession. Their upcoming debut album is eight tracks of evocative, hypnotic doom, where the raw power of guitars merges with the spiritual depth of Indian classical music. The intense and dark songwriting on »Litania« interweaves instrumental passages featuring traditional instruments such as sitar, dilruba, harmonium, and tanpura, while Elisa De Munari’s deep and ritualistic vocals draw inspiration from ancient Indian Ragas, evoking a journey suspended between abyss and transcendence.

“While ghungroo may itself refer to the acoustic anklet worn during dances to enhance rhythms, this song may be more likely inspired by it, with a pulsating beat between bass and drums that grabs you straight away, interjected by surreal vocals, and featuring some of the gnarliest downtuned, moshing doom you’re likely to hear this summer. Dare you to turn it up to 11 and shake some walls,” say Doomed & Stoned editors. Dive into their latest single Manasa Devi.
