Slovak gothic/death/doom metal band Thalarion to reissue third album »Four Elements Mysterium« this summer/autumn on Pařát Productions!

Slovak gothic/death/doom metal band Thalarion will reissue their third album »Four Elements Mysterium« on CD and vinyl this summer/autumn through Czech label Pařát Productions.

At the turn of the millennium Thalarion were one of the fundamental bands of the Slovak metal underground. As a fan of the music of Theatre Of Tragedy, The Gathering, Dreams Of Sanity or, after all, Slovak Galadriel, I couldn’t miss Thalarion and their music enchanted me. Already »Tales Of The Woods… Thus Was Written« (1998) sounded amazing, but the third album »Four Elements Mysterium« (2000) is my favourite of all Thalarion recordings.

“I consider 1999 to be my best year in Thalarion, between the albums »Tales Of The Woods… Thus Was Written« and »Four Elements Mysterium«. Although the latter album was not released until 2000, we recorded it a year earlier and had a great time. In the late nineties, we were touring a lot, rehearsing a lot, and we were still together as a band. We got responses from all over the world, and offers for interviews. It was a really great time. That will never happen again, which is a shame. But we were living in that time and that time, as cruel as it was, was also impressive. Opportunities were opening up before us that only a fool would not grasp. The current generation will never experience this again and all of us born earlier can only reminisce nostalgically. But those memories have a firm place in each of us that no one can tear away. I simply love the nineties, and if there was a time machine, I would love to go back to them again,” says Thalarion singer Juraj Grežďo.

The music that Thalarion presented in 1999-2000 can be perceived as old school, which is not necessarily a bad thing, on the contrary. The album in all its aspects fits into the wonderful time of the turn of the millennium, which we remember so fondly.

After 25 years, »Four Elements Mysterium« will be re-edition by Pařát Productions, or more precisely, new editions. For the first time on digipak (August) and vinyl (December).
