Kylovyda returns with the challenging second single »Sonus Molentis«!

After a three-year hiatus, the instrumental-ambient quartet Kylovyda from central Slovenia returns with their second single, »Sonus Molentis«. The unplanned delay of the follow-up single ended in November 2024, when it was recorded at LifeTrip Studio. The recording and sound design were handled by Dario Solenički, while the mastering was done by Miro Prljača. Alongside the single’s release, the band has also announced an upcoming, yet-untitled EP, set for release in the second half of next year.

The music group Kylovyda planted its artistic roots in 2019 in the heart of a concrete shelter, where its unique sonic identity began to take shape. The founding core consisted of Damir Ibrahimkadić (guitar), Davorin Petek (bass guitar), and Matjaž Mastnak (drums). In 2022, the band released its first single, »Hurtigruten«, and welcomed a fourth member, Nikola Klavžar, who works remotely and took on the roles of producer, synthesizer programming, and enriching the band’s sonic landscape. Despite a prolonged period of traumatic injuries within the group, the band reunited and released its second single, »Sonus Molentis«, in 2025. Kylovyda is already forging plans for the future, with the release of an EP slated for the second half of 2026, marking the next significant step in the evolution of their sound.
