Bistrica ob Sotli, Slovenia based grunge/alternative/stoner rockers Dunraven premiere a music video for their cover of traditional folk song »Katalena«.

The theme of a woman married to a bandit and murderer probably belongs to the Old Slavic cultural heritage before the advent of Christianity, as it is known in its own versions by all Slavic nations. Two versions appear in the Slovenian ethnic space. The adapted version of »Kata, Katalena« can be found in Prekmurje and Porabje regions.

Dunraven was formed in Bistrica ob Sotli, Slovenia, and released a demo EP titled »Thrown In At The Deep End« in 2020. It has since then become a three-piece collective, continuing to work within the tightly-knit local alternative scene in Bistrica ob Sotli. In 2024 they are releasing a self-titled debut, with two singles coming out two months prior: »Rock Bottom« and »Fires«. Both singles are accompanied with an official music video.
