Svart Records will reissue Spiritus Mortis’ classic albums »Fallen« and »The Year Is One« in November 2026.

● »Fallen« returns, celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of the landmark releases in Finnish traditional doom metal.

Released in 2006, two years after the Finnish band’s long-awaited debut, the sophomore effort takes everything that worked before and sharpens it into a leaner, more confident statement. Rather than chasing heavier production or modern trends, the band doubles down on traditional doom rooted in Black Sabbath, Trouble, and Saint Vitus, while adding enough heavy metal to keep the music from sinking under its own weight. Now, two decades after its original release, Svart Records is honoring the album with a long overdue reissue on both vinyl and CD in November.

Released in 2016, »The Year Is One« stands as one of the band’s most powerful and emotionally charged works, combining monolithic riffs, haunting melodies, and an unmistakably dark atmosphere. Fronting the album is the unmistakable voice of Sami ”Albert Witchfinder” Hynninen of Reverend Bizarre and Opium Warlords among many others, whose commanding performance brings unmatched intensity and character to every song.
