Stockholm, Sweden based traditional doom metal trio Doomherre is gearing up to unleash new single »This Burning Guilt« on August 12th, 2025 via Skatbo Records.

In the meantime you can watch a music video for »Stormfather«, the first single taken from Doomherre’s upcoming album. Available now on all major streaming platforms.

Says the band: “Chains break. Storms rise. Oaths are sworn in blood.

»Stormfather« is a hymn of transformation and torment – an anthem for the broken who rise again, guided by ancient forces and forged in doom. Slow, heavy, and unrelenting, this track marks the beginning of a darker chapter in Doomherre’s journey.

Filmed in shadow and storm, the video channels the agony and revelation at the heart of the song. Watch, listen, and descend.”

Doomherre unleash »This Burning Guilt« – a doom metal descent into darkness!

Stockholm, Sweden – Traditional doom metal trio Doomherre return with their devastating new single, »This Burning Guilt«, out August 12th via their own Skatbo Records. This marks the second single from their sophomore full-length album, »Plaguelords«, and delivers a slow-burning, soul-crushing plunge into themes of shame, sorrow, and damnation.

Rooted in the classic sound of Trouble, Candlemass, and The Obsessed, Doomherre carve their own path in the genre, blending traditional doom foundations with murky sludge influences. With tortured vocals, thunderous riffs, and a smoldering atmosphere, »This Burning Guilt« stands as a towering monument to despair.

The single was produced, mixed, and engineered by guitarist/vocalist Victor Takala , and mastered by Björn Iversen, continuing the band’s fiercely DIY ethos and hands-on approach that defines their mission. As founding member Takala puts it, “We didn’t just start a band – we built our dream.”

Formed in Stockholm by Victor Takala (Eyekon, Katatonia session work), Daniel Strachal (Blindfold, Duelbarrel, Brainwarp), and Max Collin (Votary, Lobotomy, Scars), Doomherre are not only students of doom but veterans of Sweden’s extreme underground metal scene. Their collective history gives their sound authenticity and weight, yet their spirit remains hungry and forward-thinking.

Following up their critically praised debut Bonegoat, this new chapter signals a deepening of Doomherre’s signature style – raw, personal, and uncompromising.

»This Burning Guilt« will be available August 12 on all major streaming platforms. Fans of true underground doom, mark your calendars. The plague continues…
