Righteous Goat is a one-man band that emerged in the summer of 2022, when Emre Can Serteli (Humbaba, GodBud, Delightful Dekadenss) decided to puke the riffs haunting him out into the universe. Staying true to the DIY ethos, every track is performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered entirely in-house, fueled by the feedback and support of a close circle of friends.
Emre Can Serteli on new album »Troubling Meditations«:
“I know it’s been a while (can’t believe »Paths Of Deviance« was released 4 years ago), but a lot of stuff happened since. Most importantly, I got fed up with the big city life and moved out to a quiet coastal town. Took all my equipments with me, and considering all the free time I have here, I decided to prepare another RG album all by myself. It turned out to be a 1 hour long journey of 10 songs, ranging from soulcrushing doom metal to sleazy stoner psych rock.
As the second collection of my works, »Troubling Meditations« is named as such, because it consists mostly of my own solitary contemplations on the absurdity of existence, the contradictions of the soul and the unsettling nature of humanity. Each track reflects on an external or internal issue, explored through my own wisdom, intuition and reasoning.

If you’d like to support my labor, you may buy the digital release from Bandcamp. You’ll also get a digital booklet including complete lyrics, anatomy of the songs, related memories and trivia about the project and the album, plus some technical details about songwriting and production processes. And also instrumental (karaoke) versions of all songs for anyone who wants focus on the instruments, singing over them or to decipher them easier.
I’d like to arrange a physical merch too. But, as the transfer of goods between countries becoming trickier everyday (with the latest EU law and ascending cargo prices), it became harder to put a reasonable price on literally any solid thing. Still, if any label would like to press this into a physical form, you may reach me out.”
