Rising from the damp, grimy underbelly of Norwich, Tunguska crashes onto the UK metal scene with their filthy, stripped-back take on the sludge sound.
Formed in 2022, Tunguska isn’t just a name – it’s a declaration of aggressive, raw, unbridled heaviness, as potent and fierce as the iconic event from which they take their name.
Tunguska’s music is an unapologetic testament to the heart and soul of sludge and hardcore punk – heavy, filthily raw, fast-paced, and deeply grounded in the brutal yet liberating roots of those genres. Their sound draws upon the influences of stalwarts such as EyeHateGod, Trap Them, and Weedeater, and combines them with the discordant aggression of bands like Converge, Will Haven, and Every Time I Die.
