Cornwall, UK based stoner/alternative rockers O’Deus premiere new single and music video »Southern Cross«, which just dropped today.

O’Deus, hailing from West Cornwall is making a dynamic return in 2025 with their captivating original video, »Southern Cross«. Fronted by the talented vocalist Jazz Urell, the band comprises from the lineup of guitarist and writer Richard Searby-Bates, along with longstanding partners Christer-Henning Danielsson on bass and Chris Tofts on drums. Collaborating over two decades, the band’s synergy shines through in this project, enhanced by the audio production of Marley Jones and drum engineering by Brinley Hall. Visuals Directed by renowned music director Ryan Mackfall, the video for »Southern Cross« delves into a cult-inspired narrative with retro horror elements, brought to life by Jazz Urell and Mackfall’s creative vision.

With influences ranging from stoner rock to 90s grunge or progressive bands like Soundgarden and Tool, O’Deus infuses a unique blend of musical elements into »Southern Cross«. Drawing inspiration from Cornwall’s rich heritage and mystical roots, the release embodies a fusion of culture, mythology, and ancient customs. This project serves as a journey into the band’s origins, exploring themes of empowerment, freedom, and resistance against control. Combining a distinctive sound with visually striking aesthetics, »Southern Cross« stands out as a compelling piece of art that reflects O’Deus’ dedication to crafting a powerful and immersive experience for their audience.
