Boise, Idaho based hard rock/stoner/post-grunge band Cardiac Drift drops their new single »Villain King«, released on October 25th, 2024.

Full of swagger and bravado, Cardiac Drift’s new single »Villain King« serves as a warning. When one’s ego is pushed too far and the internal switch is flipped, the dominance that reigns within conflict serves as a catalyst to allow a deep seated grudge to become King.

»Villain King« was recorded at The Chop Shop Recording Studios in Boise Idaho by Andy Agenbroad in June of 2024 who captured the rawness that typifies Cardiac Drift’s live performances. The track was mixed and mastered by Mario Quintero, guitarist and vocalist for Spotlights, and who has worked with Cardiac Drift favorites Shiner, Amblare, and Pallbearer among others. Mario brought added the textures that are the hallmark of Cardiac Drift’s sound.

Veteran performers in the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West rock scenes, Cardiac Drift has captured a genre-blending aesthetic that fuses the sludgy, rawness of grunge with the fist-pumping arena rock titans that informed their youthful hunger for rock n roll.
