The Magpie is a heavy rock and roll band from Raleigh, NC, formed by Erik Sugg (ex-Demon Eye, Lightning Born), Brian Walsby (ex-Snake Nation, ex-Double Negative, ex-Polvo) and Mike Deloatch (Mind Dweller, Hot Rats, ex-Crystal Spiders). Their Firelight Records debut fuses elements of heavy metal, post hardcore, noise, and vintage psychedelia. Recommended for lovers of heavy underground ’90s rock, stoner metal, and ’80s punk.
