Originally formed in 1992 under the name The Fiends, Sugar Virus has spent over three decades evolving their signature sound – a crushing, macabre fusion of horror punk, doom metal, and southern-fried thrash. Led by founding vocalist Jason Virus, whose unmistakable voice channels the crooning menace of Elvis Presley, 70s-era Glenn Danzig, and Billy Milano, the band continues to haunt listeners with unrelenting riffs and blood-soaked grooves.

The upcoming album »Kill The Messenger« is a 100% DIY effort – written, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Jason Virus himself. The record stays true to the band’s horror roots while pushing further into doom-laden territory, echoing influences from Danzig, Black Sabbath, and the raw energy of The Ramones.

With a career that spans 11 independent releases and two prior full-length albums, »Kill The Messenger« marks a new chapter of darkness for the band – dripping with dread, distortion, and the twisted southern charm that has made them a cult favorite in the underground horror metal scene.
