Post Luctum is a melodic death/doom project created in 2019 by Ian Goetchius in California, Maryland (USA). The music emerges where the shadows of despair meet the light of hope while the themes are loss, self reflection, and even the paranormal. Taking influence from bands like Swallow The Sun, Insomnium, Cult Of Luna, and Paradise Lost, the project forges its compositions with the commitment to capture the sound of solace along with merging a feeling of purpose.

Post Luctum welcomes the listeners to the depths to either confront inner darkness or to wallow within it. »Forced To Watch You Wither« is a journey dealing with pushing oneself to the point of exhaustion while also battling insomnia. Questioning if everything you’re doing is good enough, clouding your view and even questioning sanity.
