Evansville, Indiana based stoner/doom metal band Rat King stream their new studio album, »Weathered«, which was just released on September 11th, 2025.

Rat King is a stoner doom band from Evansville, Indiana.

“This record is born from collapse. In 2024, I went through hell and it very nearly ended me. Working on these songs is what kept me alive through it.

This album is raw and unfiltered. It is heavy music written out of survival. Some tracks are so personal I’d rather never revisit them, but they exist because I had to put the pain somewhere.

Should the demand call for it, Rat King will bring this to physical formats – vinyl, CDs, whatever makes sense. I’m working on new shirt designs to support this release. But waiting for perfection never felt right with this one. It had to come out now.
