»Fallen In The Bloody Field« was recorded between 2019 and 2022 in two studios: the drums at Sonority Studios in Indaial/SC, while the other instruments (guitar, bass and vocals) were recorded at Satan’s Lair studio in Timbó/SC. The production, mixing and mastering were in charge of the São Paulo producer Kleber Hora, from Studio Dark Paradise Recording. Death/doom metal band Volkmort is excited to announce the release of their newest album, entitled »Fallen In The Bloody Field«. The long-awaited work, which marks an important moment in the band’s career, was created over a meticulous and creative period, during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Inspired by dark historical events and epic narratives, Volkmort composed and recorded the album between 2019 and 2022, embarking on a profound and emotional musical journey. Produced by Kleber Hora & Band, mixed and mastered at Studio Dark Paradise Recording in São Paulo, and artistically directed by Fernando Camacho, »Fallen In The Bloody Field« captures the band’s unique essence and promises to transport listeners into a dark and immersive world.
The band is also excited to announce that the album was physically released by Black Hole Productions in June 2023 and is available digitally starting from the 4th of August 2023.
The recording of this epic work took place in two renowned studios. The drum sessions were held at Sonority Studios in Indaial – Santa Catarina, while the remaining instruments (guitar, bass, and vocals) were recorded at Satan’s Lair studio in Timbó – Santa Catarina, from January to May 2022.
The striking cover artwork, visually representing the essence of the album, was created by Fadli (Yandema Art).
About Volkmort:
Volkmort began in November 2004, in the city of Timbó, in the interior of Santa Catarina, in the south of Brazil, where it is based until the present day. The band was born from a desire to purge insane ideas and feelings and materialize it in the form of extreme and dark music, write its own history in Brazilian metal underground and reinforce the ranks of the local and national scene.
From the first compositions, the band searches for a sound that shows slow and heavy passages, to harsh and accelerated moments, associated with a thematic approach that reflects the civilizing movement in a decadent, dominating perspective, based on confused beliefs that culminate in wars and desolation.
