Basel, Switzerland based post-metal veterans Zatokrev have announced their new full-length album, »…Bring Mirrors To The Surface«, which will be released on August 29th, 2025 via Pelagic Records.

Intent on exploring every crag and fissure of the human experience, Zatokrev have been ever firm in their resolve to dive headlong into the murky waters of consciousness and the subsequent experiences gained in those explorations. Ambitious and impulsive, but never careless. A primordial force has beckoned the sounds created by this Basel based group, emerging from the fecund Earth like water from a spring eternal.

Zatokrev have been dormant since their split EP with Minsk (2018), but the long wait is over now: the Swiss four piece, formerly signed with Earache and Candlelight Records, will release a brand new double album this summer. And to those of you who still go back to listen to Neurosis’ »Enemy Of The Sun« 30 years after its release, rejoice: this album is for you!

“Our new album, completed in 2022, reflects a time of profound change and resilience. It’s a testament to how challenges were overcome and new beginnings were embraced, both personally and creatively,” says guitarist & vocalist Fredy Rotter.

“The fact that the new album is only released three years later is due in no small part to the overcoming of serious life challenges and profound changes. The new album is the follow-up to the previous album, »Silk Spiders Underwater…«, where the story began. Now, »…Bring Mirrors To The Surface« tells the story to its conclusion.”
