PAN is a heavy metal band rooted in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan that blurs the lines of death/black/doom styles. Being a land characterized by great lakes, vast forests, and harsh winters, an ever-present sense of ancientness and isolation defines the spirit that lives within the landscape. PAN strives to give voice to this bygone spirit that lives just out of sight and turn attention back to the old ways, where life was symbiotic with nature.

In the decade plus of PAN’s existence, they have earned a dedicated following, having recorded 3 full-length albums and playing many shows throughout northern and southern Michigan. PAN places an emphasis on story-telling in their music, featuring themes drawn from wilderness and man’s place in it. The compositions tend to skirt categorization but have always been and continue to strive to be uniquely PAN. They have no intention of stopping now. The journey has only begun…
