Freiburg, Germany based psychedelic blues/krautrock band Sound Of Smoke is back with their new full-length album, »Mirage«, which was released on March 27th, 2026 via Tonzonen Records.

Things had been quiet for a while around Sound Of Smoke from Freiburg. After the psychedelic soul-rock quartet released their last album, »Phases«, in the spring of 2023, they received a lot of positive feedback from the German and international music scenes.

Now the band is excited to present their new album. »Mirage« builds on Sound Of Smoke’s proven formula: Johannes Braunstein’s driving drum beats, Florian Kiefer’s thunderous bass – which at times can be interpreted as rhythm guitar – Jens Stöver’s electric, twangy guitar complemented by ethereal echo and fuzz sounds, as well as oscillating synthesizers.

Last but not least, Isabelle Bapté, with her soulful voice and flute interludes, gives Sound Of Smoke that famous, distinctive touch that makes the band so unique.
