Stuik is an alternative band from Limburg, Belgium focused on heavy guitars and grooves, with a touch of psychedelia here and there.

Following the tragic passing of Splendidula bassist Peter Chromiak in 2022, guitarists Pieter and David chose to leave the group. Around that same time, Solenoid – the band featuring original Splendidula drummer Patrick – also disbanded. Looking for a fresh start, the musicians connected and began mapping out a new project alongside Nina Vandegoor. When Jana later stepped in to replace Nina on bass and vocals, Stuik was officially ready to roll.

After circulating a few demos among friends and cutting their teeth on the local live circuit, the band decided it was time to track a full-length record. The resulting album, »In Sanity«, was recorded at Jupiter Studios and mixed by Koenraad Foesters (Hedonist, Sons Of A Wanted Man, Mordkaul).

Stuik leans heavily into uncompromising stoner rock, laced with undeniable nods to punk, sludge, and psychedelic rock. By their own admission, their sound hits the sweet spot for fans of Red Fang, Mastodon, and Kyuss – a claim that is right on the money.
