Finis Hominis debuts with »Sordidum Est«, monolithic EP released by Abraxas Records

On February 3rd, the sludge metal power trio Finis Hominis (São Paulo, Brazil) released their debut EPSordidum Est, an ode to sludge metal and containing a deep reflection about dense and critical themes.

The band’s introductory material contains five tracks that constitute a musically oppressive and profound panel, evoking visceral and mournful feelings. Moving between sludge, death metal and crust, »Sordidum Est« is the result of the work of three experienced musicians from the São Paulo scene. Recorded at Associação Cultural Sinfonia de Cães under the tutelage of the band itself and the renowned Renato Gimenez (Vazio, Fuzzly) the EP contains five tracks and brings influences from bands like Grief, EyeHateGod and Nootgrush.

At shows, the elements are catalyzed into mesmerizing and dark performances, showcasing the best of sludge metal.
