Sweater For An Astronaut is a metal band based out of the Pacific Northwest, bettering the planet with good times and hard music since 2015. While the core of the band, Colton D. Williams on guitar and vocals and Chris Phillips (Beef) on percussion, extends 30 years through multiple projects, the addition of Erik on bass guitar completed the vibratory balance. Specialized in their fields, seasoned by lifetimes of adventure, saturated in opulent tones and powerful harmonic creations, this hard-working crew transports the audience to distant galaxies and through raging supernovas, reconstructing neurological cravings on a fundamental level.

With years of performing and writing in previous bands and projects together, such as Northwest Royale (3 albums and 2 EPs,) Beef and Colt are veterans of the stage and space itself. Through their history they have gigged with bands such as Opeth, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Type O Negative, Cannibal Corpse, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon, KMFDM, Prong, Devildriver, Sir Mixalot, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, Behemoth, Marilyn Manson, and Testament among many others.

The addition of Erik on bass and backup vocals has been shrouded in mystery. Some attribute his acceptance to pure skill and aligned styles, while others whisper of government cover-ups and bass player tryouts becoming hallucinogenic bloodbaths. But whether he has spent the last 30 years in a Pentagon sub-basement lulling dangerous alien specimens with low-end disruption, or is merely a rogue agent intent on keeping the rest of the band from blowing themselves or the galaxy up… remains an open question.
