After being self-released in February, Mammoth Caravan’s debut LP »Ice Cold Oblivion« is now available on red and black splatter vinyl.

“The songs on »Ice Cold Oblivion« changed our lives forever and we are so thankful to our fans, friends, and family who helped make it possible for us to get this album put out on vinyl,” comments bassist/vocalist Brandon Ringo.

Since the release of the album, the band has gone on quite a journey that has included recording a releasing another new album (»I, Megafauna«), to playing with bands like Bongzilla, Weedeater, Thou, Pallbearer, and Rwake, and losing original guitarist Evan Swift. The band’s lineup now consists of former drummer Robert Warner on guitar, Brandon Ringo on bass and vocals, and Khetner Howton on drums.

“Mammoth Caravan’s music draws from the primordial well of southern sludge and doom metal but subtracts meandering and nonsense. The band relishes in the power of metal and their inertia is infectious. Mammoth Caravan injects energy and fun into downbeat music without losing power or ferocity.” – Decibel Magazine

“The 38 minutes of »Ice Cold Oblivion« make their primary impression in lumber, heft, and march. It’s ultimately to the trio’s credit that even on their first offering they’re able to look outside microgenre and work in aspects of different heavy styles.” – The Obelisk

“»Ice Cold Oblivion« has everything you can ask for in a Sludge and Doom Metal album, taking you on a bitterly cold, grim journey that will leave you eager for more of the music by this talented American trio in the coming years.” – The Headbanging Moose

“For all its caveman scene setting, Mammoth Caravan have laced enough novelty into »Ice Cold Oblivion«, even if the riffs and arrangements feel oddly familiar. This is no case of ‘man discovering fire’ in terms of it moving the scene forward, but when it’s good, man, some of this really is fire.” – Distorted Sound Magazine
