Danish occult horror rockers Witchfang premiere new single and visualizer video »Night’s Embrace«

Kolding, Denmark based stoner/doom metal band Witchfang premiere a visualizer video for their new single »Night’s Embrace«, released October 21st, 2025.

Emerging in 2023 from Kolding, Denmark, Witchfang blends hard rock and stoner/doom into a genre-defying sound.

Witchfang plays occult horror rock, exploring the human emotions, experiences and desires. Their first single »Dead Rat City« was released in the beginning of March 2025 and tells a story of a city in decay, where mutated rats are spreading disease. Followed by the single »Running Away From You« from May, which was well received by critics. The music should be experienced as a story, where each song is a chapter in a bigger story, that in the end comes together as a ‘sonic movie’.

“This song is part of the bigger story of »Dead Rat City«, a city and a world overrun with sickness and plagues, monsters and death everywhere.

Meanwhile, this song is also a reflection of the current state of the world we live in. Hatred everywhere over differences, wars and plagues.

In the end, this is a love song. This a story of someone, that will fight through all the bad things, to be the person they love, and persevere into the other side, where they can live happily together, because in the end, love will triumph over hatred.

Instrumentally, this song is recorded with raw drums, real amplifiers and everything from the old school productions ways, but with modern tools at the disposal, for a modern, but authentic sound.”

Hailing from Kolding, Denmark, Witchfang debuted with a tale of the world overrun with chaos and plagues. It’s an alternative universe but the stories may not be to far from the reality we live in. But diving deeper into the stories we might also find hope for a brighter future.

The idea for Witchfang was born in the middle of the night, in a dark rockbar in Kolding, Denmark, by the two friends Rasmus & Kristian. Rasmus had an idea in his head, which was hummed and recorded a mobile by Kristian and already the next day started the songwriting, based around just one sentence. That became the first released single by the band, »Dead Rat City«, and soon after came the inspiration for an entire album.

The concept was, to create a horror movie, but with music instead of pictures. The project grew quickly and the interest in songwriting and music production grew even more. Soon they were joined med Mads & Steffan in the rehearsal space, and the band was finally formed.

They call their music genre ‘Occult Horror Rock’, but more directly they play a mix of stoner/doom rock, mixed with hard rock that sometimes has pop-rock elements, with vocals that are melodic and easy to sing along to. They consider their sound to be a mix of Black Sabbath and Ghost, but they have many, broad sources of inspiration, which can be heard to varying degrees in the different songs they have written.
