Can you please say a few words about your band?
Aberdar is a stoner band from Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina that was formed in 2017. We have 3 albums so far: »Kolos« (2020), »The Cult Of The Naked Snail« (2022) and »The Sun« (2025). No singles, no EP stuff. We like to keep it old school and heavy with modern sound. We also apeared on the first ever Banja Luka vinyl compilation called »Pod Iglom« of bands ever to exist here. We aim to keep the heavy scene rolling and to make as much music as we can. The band is a trio: Bojan Bujić Buya – Guitar and Vocals, Nikola Paspalj – Bass and Denis Selimović – Drums.
What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Well it is pretty known here that we have a huge lack of drummers. I have no idea why but this curse lingers with me for a long time now. We have been changing drummers for a extencive period of time. Back in 2024 our last drummer left the band right before recording the album so we were left dead in the water. After a long period of time Denis Selimović from Revolt stepped in to record and perform for the promotion of the album, were we as a band, me and Nikola, are deeply grateful that he steped in. A big thanks goes out to Denis, we will never forget that. So we are still looking for a crew member that will rock with us.
What can you be most proud of so far?
I am proud that the band is evolving with every album and every song. We are not stopping. The universe can kiss my harry ass, we will endure and keep making heavy shit like this album and even better in the future. I am proud that I mixed and mastered all 3 albums and that I have become what I wanted in the end. There are always ups and downs in life but life goes on and I know I will kick some ass.
What was your biggest regret?
There are no regrets. Shit hapens down the rocky road. There were some things in life that slowed me down but now when I look back it all happens for some reason. I only know that music is my life and I will keep working on it untill I die.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Oh I love every show. My top 3 are as follows: The promotion of our second album »The Cult Of The Naked Snail«. Probably because fucking Covid ended and everybody was waiting for that big show to happen and we took the opurtunity. And what a show it was. We shared the stage with our friends Misery Crown from Bihać that night. FULL HOUSE and heavy stoner sound. You can check it out on YouTube we have it all documented on my YouTube channel, just type Bojan Bujic and Aberdar and enjoy. The second would be with Cold Snap, Greysoul and Klapan. Damn that was a awesome night. Cold Snap really showed the crowd what it looks like to be a awesome band. The third would be sharing the stage with Apewards, was not expecting such great people and great musicians. Really check them out. The are really cool.
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Panties everywhere. Hahaha on the promotion of our last album »The Sun« a few friends thought it would be a great idea to shower me with panties on a song of their choce. And right in the mid part of song »Green Bleader« all I could see were panties flying in my face (they were not used btw). I was covered in them. I was laughing so hard I fogot the lyrics for the song. Fucking assholes. But I love them.
What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Oh I listen to a lot of heavy shit. But at the moment I listen to: Sleep Token, Periphery, Landmvrks, Green Lung, Pentagram, Bad Omens, Spiritbox, a lot of Black Sabbath and Billie Eilish.
What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Tune the fucking guitar. If its out of tune even if you play on a awesome rig you will sound like shit. I have no idea who told me that but I will remember it for a long time.
What are your guilty pleasures?
I like gaming, sharing time with my friends, tuning guitars to drop D, C, A, at work since I work in a music store, and going out with Kiki to gossip and drink coffee, beer and a lot of Gorki List. And I love listening to Nickelback.
Can you say something more about the current music scene in Banja Luka?
We have a lot of awesome bands but not a lot of places to play. Here in Banja Luka we have one mid place to play. Still not good enough. There are still a lot of awesome bands that I personaly think deserve to be seen. Klapan is my favourite currenly on the scene. They are killers. Those kids have the energy that is not common here in Bosnia. I can not compare them to anything from here. We shared the stage a few times and are always welcome to do so moving on.
Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
At the moment we are on standby since we are looking for a drummer. So hopefully in the near future we will be somewhere somehow. No plans for now. Though I already have 12 new riffs for the new album. What can I say I have a lot of ideas but at the moment nobody to share it with. So we are still working. No stoping.
What are your plans for the future as a band?
A lot of heavy songs that will kick your balls to a diferent dimension. We are always full of inspiration for new material. So time will tell.
How can people best support your band?
You can listen to our music on all platforms: Spotify, Deezer, iTunes, YouTube. You can also buy the digital format on Bandcamp (name your price) or contact the band on Instagram and buy our merch. We can ship it.
Do you have any message for your listeners?
Thank you for the support and keep up the good work. Listen to the shit we make and be good to each other. Drink a lot of beer and have a lot of sex. Aberdar loves you all.
