Hailing from the French Alps, Triglöth is a five-piece metal band, melting stoner, sludge, thrash and crust punk. The band’s self-titled debut EP was released on March 10th, 2023.
Triglöth is Nicolas Fayoux (vocals), Sébastien Mutschler (guitar), Florent Albourie (guitar), Julien Puthod (bass) and Alexandre Dupont (drums).
Can you say a few words about your band?
Ok let’s do that! We are Triglöth. We stayed in our cellar for years, but now we want to spread the word! our word is about big sound, good riffs and fun. We don’t lock ourselves into one style Our many influences mean that our songs are not brothers but rather cousins… However, the fat sound and groove give us the coherence we’re looking for.
What was the biggest challenge for the band this year?
It was probably to be able to convey the energy and power of sound onstage
What can you be most proud of this year?
Everything we did was pure homemade, and to record our EP live (no click , no headphones) old school!
What was your biggest regret?
Not having enough time for more shows… A metal festival asked us to play with 1000mods and Born From Pain but we were not free on this date. Also we should have played with Xaon (the singer recorded our EP) but same story the date was not ok for us…
What was the best concert/tour this year and why?
Hard to choose, but probably this summer in Geneva. It was for Fete de la Musique (Post Tenebras Rock). A large audience, fine weather, good sound and spirit and pretty good show!
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
We were very well received at each concert and very well fed! We broke an amp twice during a concert, and each time another band lent us its equipment. So the biggest surprise is goodwill!
Where can we see you live next year (concerts/tours)?
We’ll have some shows this winter in small friendly mountain clubs. And we’re working hard to play at festivals this summer… (if some festivals in Slovenia are looking for fat sound from the mountains… Tolminator for example).

What are your plans for the next year as a band? What do you personally want the most?
We got many things to do… Record an album ’cause we have enough tracks, compose new songs and keep on exploring many styles. But I think we have to play and play again cause its why we play music, to share our stuff and to kick some ass. As an independent band everything we do is a bit slow ’cause we need money and time. Whatever happens, we’ll get there!
Do you already know what are you doing on New Year’s Eve?
It’s probably the worst party during the year…so fuck that!
How can people best support your band?
Very easy, coming to our rare concerts, streaming our music, you can also buy it…but who buy mp3 these days? Our beautiful and cheap shirts are on sale on our website…
Do you have any message for your listeners?
Yes: your energy and smile during our shows are the most beautiful thing you can give us.
