Harvest is a five-piece gothic/doom metal band from Veneto, Italy.
Originally started as a collaboration between Omar Stevan (drums) and Fabio Torresan (guitar), Harvest quickly evolved into a full band with the addition of longtime friend Elisa Bertolo on bass, followed by Matteo Gandolfi on second guitar and keys. After initial sessions and the first version of the album, lineup changes led to the arrival of new vocalist Emanuele Follega, bringing stability and a new dimension to the band’s emotional depth.
With a complete and dedicated lineup, Harvest are now ready to take their vision beyond the rehearsal room and onto the international stage. Their music is a sincere tribute to a classic era of metal, while offering a fresh and heartfelt voice to today’s heavy scene.
Harvest’s debut album »For The Souls We Have Lost« was released on September 26th, 2025 via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records. Fans of My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Katatonia, Tiamat, Novembre, and the like, pay heed.
Can you please say a few words about your band?
The band was formed by Omar and Fabio in Fall 2023, filling their common will to compose something in line with what they listen since the early 90’s, that is gothic/doom metal. We are inspired by bands like Katatonia, My Dying Bride, Tiamat, Opeth, Anathema, and their masterpieces of that period, which really influences our way to intend and compose music at the time, and still do it too.
What was the biggest challenge for the band?
I think we didn’t have a “big challenge” at all, it all came naturally, and surprisingly quickly in fact, the will to give birth to something special was too high that we put our all on this project, and here we are now to talk about it.
What can you be most proud of so far?
We are very proud of how well our debut album »For The Souls We Have Lost« was received and of the great response we got from the audience at the release show. We’re also proud to have been invited to perform at Church of Crow Doom Festival 2026. Now It’s one of the best doom festival.
What was your biggest regret?
We don’t really have any regrets yet. When we started we had an idea in mind, and we gave it everything to make it happen.
What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
We have a great response at the release party of the album, but the best is yet to come. As already said, next year we will be a part of the bill of the Church of Crow Doom Fest, which is the most important festival of the genre here in Italy, and we will share the stage with some “Doom Metal Gods” like Funeral, Esoteric and Aeonian Sorrow
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
In our genre, there haven’t been any surprises in recent years, but if we talk about new releases, we really enjoyed the latest album by Paradise Lost. They prove once again that they are the kings of gothic-doom.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Each one of us has different music preferences, is hard to tell our musical rotation… this differences between us, allowing us to vary even the compositive phase… Obviously we are most influenced by doom/death/black metal, but not only that.
What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Never give up. This is the reason why we are here now to speak about Havest. We are all a little “advanced in age”, and if we had not had perseverance beyond every circumstance of life, we will not be here now.
What are your guilty pleasures?
I can’t answer that… otherwise I’ll get in trouble!
We’d love to share a stage or an event with our all time idols…that would be amazing.
Can you say something more about the current music scene in Veneto?
Messa are originally from our province. We know them and are happy about the success they’re having. However, we notice that there are very few other bands playing, especially young ones, and that’s not a good sign. We believe the same situation happens across Italy.
Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We’ll be playing a show at the end of November in northeastern Italy, but we can’t reveal the venue just yet. The promoter still has to make the event official.
Stay tuned on our social pages…
What are your plans for the future as a band?
We are already writing new songs, it is too early to talk about a new album, but we want to enhance our future live shows with new stuff.
How can people best support your band?
The best way to support us is by listening to our stuff on Spotify or Bandcamp, and if you’re into it, grabbing the record really helps. Coming to our shows and just spreading the word to your metalfriends makes a big difference
Do you have any message for your listeners?
We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who listens to our music and supports us. We hope you’ve enjoyed, and if you’d like to tell us, we’d really love to hear from you!
