Dutch instrumental space rock trio Spacejunk Mafia announces self-titled debut album; due out on December 1st!

In an era dominated by AI-generated music, Spacejunk Mafia delivers something real, raw, and irresistible. The three-piece instrumental space band from Nijmegen, Netherlands will release their first full-length album on December 1st, 2025, a journey through psychedelic soundscapes and groovy rhythms that won’t let go.

“Our music is all about feeling and experience. We want people to drift away on the grooves and discover where the sounds take them,” the band says.

Following their critically acclaimed demo EP in 2024, Spacejunk Mafia has worked tirelessly on this debut album. The recordings were made at NautaMix in Nijmegen, under the guidance of David Tonnaer, and feature both the strongest tracks from the demo and new compositions, all with enhanced sound quality. The artwork, designed by Stella de Hoog (www.stelladehoog.com), reflects the album’s psychedelic and cosmic atmosphere.

The band members have known each other since high school and began playing together at De Onderbroek in Nijmegen, often performing through Brown Note Booking. Their jam sessions have formed the foundation for a unique sound that is both raw and hypnotic.
