German post-metal collective V/Haze Miasma released their new single »Demi-Human« on October 10th, 2025. The track is the first glimpse into their sophomore album »Praise Me! Erase Me!«, due out on November 7th, 2025 via Inertial Music. On the same day, the official album pre-order opens worldwide.
Alongside the single, V/Haze Miasma will present an evocative visualizer video, created by band leader Johannes Lenk. Filmed and edited by Lenk himself, the video combines natural imagery with the track’s emotional tension, capturing the duality of fragility and fury that defines the band’s sonic identity.
With »Demi-Human«, the band unveils a dramatic fusion of haunting atmospheres, crushing aggression, and emotional vulnerability – themes mirrored in the album’s artwork, created by Swedish artist Niklas Sundin (ex-Dark Tranquillity, Mitochondrial Sun).
»Demi-Human« sets the tone for what promises to be one of the most compelling post-metal releases of 2025.
Formed as a studio project and led by guitarist and composer Johannes Lenk (Hjort), V/Haze Miasma quickly gained recognition with the debut album »agenda:endure« (2020, re-released via Supreme Chaos Records in 2023), which was highlighted as “Tip of the Month” in Germany’s Rock Hard and ranked #3 in the Metal Hammer Soundcheck in January 2024. The band further expanded its sonic identity with the 2022 EP »Nebula«, before entering Grotesque Studios in Bad Wörishofen to forge their most ambitious work to date.
The new full-length »Praise Me! Erase Me!« presents a dynamic interplay of thrilling melodies, complex atmospheric arrangements, post-blackened aggression, and melodic doom sensibilities. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Ghost Brigade, Swallow The Sun, Enslaved, Sólstafir, Ihsahn, Cult Of Luna, and Neurosis, the album captures both fragility and fury, balancing serene calm with emotional eruption.
Lyrically, V/Haze Miasma continues to reflect on the beauty, power, and vulnerability of nature while addressing humanity’s hypocrisy in destroying it with eyes wide open. »Praise Me! Erase Me!« also delves into personal struggles, social inequality, and the pervasive material and mental exploitation that defines modern existence.
