Greek heavy rock juggernauts 1000mods teamed up with artist Irini Gogua to create an instrumental piece inspired by her painting »Reach Out«!

Athens, Greece based heavy rock band 1000mods presents a brand new single »Reach Out« in collaboration with artist Irini Gogua. »Reach Out« is available now on all streaming platforms.

The band comments: “Artist Irini Gogua invited us to write an instrumental piece inspired by her painting »Reach Out«, created as part of »The Sound Of Works« exhibition. We dropped by the studio for a quick jam and ended up with this track, so check it out!”

1000mods teamed up with Irini Gogua to create an instrumental piece inspired by her painting »Reach Out«.

Irini Gogua, a Georgian-Greek artist, has collaborated with renowned composers and musicians from Greece and abroad to create »The Sound Of Works«, an exhibition exploring the synesthesia of color and sound. Each artist offered an original musical composition inspired by one of Gogua’s visual works, forming a fascinating dialogue between the two arts.

The »Reach Out« painting, created with oil on canvas (110 × 150 cm), and others from exhibition can be viewed in high resolution at goguairini.com/sculptures.

The whole project explores how sound and color can connect so every artist involved created music inspired by a specific painting, and visitors could scan a QR code next to each artwork to hear the track that matched it. It was an immersive experience, both for the artists and the audience, and was warmly received by critics and visitors alike.

The instrumental piece by 1000mods is now available on all streaming platforms, and an experimental motion visualization in collaboration with the artist is available on our YouTube channel for you to enjoy.
