French post-metal explorers Maudits return with »Carré d’as«, the striking second single from their upcoming album »In Situ«. Originally conceived as an EP that organically evolved into a full-length, »In Situ« continues the band’s journey through cinematic, emotionally charged soundscapes that defy easy classification.
On »Carré d’as«, Maudits join forces with Olivier Lacroix, frontman of the acclaimed bands Erlen Meyer and Novembre. His haunting voice and poetic lyrics infuse the track with a mesmerizing depth and dark elegance. “As huge fans of Erlen Meyer and Novembre’s fantastic music, it’s an honor for us to have Olivier on this track,” the band shares. “His exceptional writing and languid flow make it one of the strongest songs on the record – and certainly the most original in our repertoire.”
The release comes with a stunning visual companion, a music video directed by longtime collaborator Florent Gerbault, perfectly translating the song’s hypnotic tension and cinematic scope into imagery.

With »Carré d’as«, Maudits reaffirm their reputation for crafting immersive, boundary-pushing post-metal – a sound both intimate and monumental, raw and meticulously composed.
