Crucella began when Willy and Belinda got back in touch with an idea that felt too good to leave in the past: taking a batch of old death metal material from one of Willy’s earlier projects and rebuilding it into something slower, heavier, and far more atmospheric. Once lyrics came in and the melodies started to land around Belinda’s voice, the songs stopped sounding like “reworked demos” and started sounding like a band with its own identity.
That process shaped the line-up too. After trying out different members, Crucella settled into a full group of players who are actively involved in writing, arranging, and production decisions. The sound sits in melodic doom metal, with progressive leanings that show up in the pacing and the way the songs breathe. The core is still simple and physical: heavy riffs, strong melodies, and a lot of space for mood.

»Behedoom« is the first single released as a complete band. It was the third song they finished, but because »Queentrala« and »Evil Desire« had already been shared earlier as demos, Crucella chose to move forward with something new that represents the band as it exists now. The track features Mika Korhonen on keyharp, adding an extra layer of texture to the weight and the atmosphere.
Recorded in the band’s rehearsal space.
Produced by Willy Maturana, Mika Korhonen & Belinda Blomqvist.
Mixed and mastered by Andreas “Fluff” Morén.
