Pyrogaric return with their 3rd album »Fracture« – a genre-spanning album incorporating multiple influences, from atmospheric synth music to heavy down-tuned riffs. Each song is an emotional journey written with passion and exploring deep themes.
The concept for »Fracture« began in 2024 following an injury that temporarily halted Pyrogaric’s live performances. However, this difficult time allowed reflection on what meant the most to us in life. From this set-back, new and raw songs were written, perhaps most importantly, the title track, »Fracture«.
The album opens with »Fracture«, an unusually fast-paced track for Pyrogaric. This song explores the sadness we felt after an injury that prevented Pyrogaric from performing for several weeks. This was as ignificant upon our lives and highlighted how important music is to us!

»Time« is a heavy hitting track, telling as tory of devotion and reckless love – of doing morally questionable things for someone who matters deeply.
»Dead« is as dark and personal reflection on childhood and emotional detachment, anchored by the haunting refrain “dead, before I was born.” This song is inspired by real life events and is deeply important to Jamey.
At its midpoint, »Fracture« shifts tone with »Remember Me«, a passionate synth-driven track steeped in ’80s atmosphere. Lighter in sound but emotionally exposed, the song centres on fear of loss and the desire to hold onto connection. This vulnerability is short-lived, as »The Siren« pulls the album back into darker waters – an aggressive, myth-inspired track where att raction and danger collide.
The heaviness deepens with »Doom«, a track written after Pyrogaric were described as a doom band, before we even knew what that was! This song has gone through numerous iterations but here it is in its final glory.
»Magic« is arguably the heaviest track on the album. It hits full force with apocalyptic guitars and bass. Lyrics are not inspired by real life, but explore the darker side of fantasy (FFO Tolkien and Lovecraft).
The journey concludes with »Fracture (Reprise)«, a synth-driven re-interpretation of the album’s opening track. Reusing the same lyrics but stripping them of aggression, the reprise is closer to how Jamey originally imagined, before Keelan altered it!
Across its runtime, »Fracture« thrives on contrasting sounds and themes. It is an album to truly listen to, allow yourself to be absorbed and entranced!
»Fracture« is available Friday 30th January, across all major streaming platforms.
