French vintage rockers Winecraft premiere new single and music video »Mother Green And Her Killing Machine«

Strasbourg, France based vintage rockers Winecraft premiere new single and music video »Mother Green And Her Killing Machine«.

Says the band: “»Mother Green And Her Killing Machine« is a high-energy rock track inspired by Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket. Driven by gritty vocals, heavy riffs and a dark, hypnotic groove, the song delivers a sharp critique of war, indoctrination and power structures, wrapped in a 70’s-infused rock storm. The music video amplifies the message with chaotic, surreal imagery, echoing the tension and visual dystopia of the song.”

“The best wines come from old barrels. And the same goes for rock.”

Emerging on the Rock scene in 2024, Winecraft has been steadily gaining a strong reputation with shows played across France, Belgium and Germany. On stage, the band consistently wins over audiences with a powerful sound, strong presence and a clear sense of musical maturity.

Winecraft’s music is served strong and slow-aged in ’70s oak barrels, in the footsteps of bands like Deep Purple, Motörhead or Graveyard. Bringing the strong experience of its bandmembers on the table, the French quartet uses those vintage roots to sing a sharp and actual social anger. The band released its debut recording called »Witchcraft ‘N Excess Wine«.

“High-quality original compositions that should satisfy those who believe that the best years of rock are behind us, but that it’ s still possible to revive them without becoming a cover band.”

Music in Belgium Recorded under conditions close to a live performance, this debut release features six tracks infused with the noise and fury of the contemporary world. It ends with a song captured on stage to testify the band energy. Released in October 2024, this first effort has been widely praised by the music press.

When Stanley Kubrick released Full Metal Jacket in 1987, the United States of America was still licking its wounds from Vietnam. More than just a war film, it held up a shattered mirror to an era growing numb to horror – a film about indoctrination and alienation. On the battlefield, one character says: “When the shit really hits the fan, who do they call? They call Mother Green and her killing machine.” That line gave its name to Winecraft’s latest track.

A dark, fierce, and high-energy rock song. A raw and hard-hitting piece about the relentless machinery that turns men into killing machines. Truth lies buried beneath interests, power struggles and dominant narratives. War is an illusion of justice reserved for the victors, even when disguised as a righteous cause.

Produced by P-Mod, we tried to craft a gentle weapon – a visual chaos, handmade in the M33 workshop in Strasbourg. This video isn’t a nostalgic tribute: it’s our way of saying that the same questions still haunt us today, just wearing different uniforms.
