Baarhus (Gothic Rock/Darkwave // Sweden)
Dark, cinematic and haunting, a fresh take on gothic rock that lingers long after the last note!
Where electronic atmospheres collide with heavy guitars, Baarhus has forged its own darkwave and gothic rock sound. Hailing from Sundsvall, Sweden, Baarhus has swiftly emerged as a name in the contemporary darkwave and gothic rock scene.
Formed in 2024, the trio builds its sound on atmospheric synth landscapes, heavy guitars and baritone vocals. Rooted in the spirit of classic ’80s gothic rock and post-punk, Baarhus combines those influences with a distinctly contemporary sound, blending darkwave atmosphere, heavy guitars and electronic production.
With compelling singles like »The Sirens Yell« and »City Of Fear«, Baarhus captivates audiences with a blend of brooding vocals and lush arrangements. Critics hail their work as a fresh take on classic ’80s post-punk, offering a modern gothic rock experience that hits hard and lingers long after the last note.
Their debut album, »Songs Under A Darkened Sky«, was released on May 29, 2026. In October 2026, the band signed with Hammerheart Records, which will reissue the album on CD and vinyl in January 2027.
