Recorded in 2024 at Sonusville Studio in Siliqua, »Silver Veins« is an introspective journey that delves into themes of personal and cultural identity. The record explores the tension between remaining deeply connected to one’s roots while also venturing toward new horizons. This duality shapes both the lyrics and the music, balancing Bentrees’ trademark heavy riff-driven sound with moments of experimentation and atmospheric depth.
»Silver Veins« features six tracks of immersive heavy rock, each carrying the band’s signature intensity and psychedelic touch.
Bentrees, formed in Iglesias in 2012 and established as a duo since 2014, consist of Riccardo Podda (guitar, vocals) and Mauro Cocco (drums). Their sound blends the raw spirit of 70s hard rock with the desert-fueled vibes of 90s stoner rock, enriched by psychedelic explorations and lyrical introspection. Over the years, they have built a strong reputation through their albums »Psychollage« (2017) and »Two Of Swords« (2021, Argonauta Records), as well as by sharing stages with acclaimed acts such as Yawning Man, Black Rainbows and The Cosmic Dead.
With »Silver Veins«, Bentrees reaffirm their place as one of the most compelling names in the European stoner/psych scene, pushing their music further while staying true to their roots.
