Cryptal Echoes, Ryte and Franz Fuexe are the latest bands announced for Sauzipf Rocks Festival, which will take place on August 8-9, 2025 in Döbriach, Millstättersee, Austria.
Previously confirmed bands for this year’s festival edition are Dopethrone, Cadû, Caloris Impact, Moon Woman, Wish To Wonder, Retschn Ernst Sei Maschin, Wolvennest, Mohama Saz, Mother’s Cake, Leber, Splinter, Tired., Triptonus and Salamirecorder.

Cryptal Echoes (Klagenfurt, Austria)
Cryptal Echoes is a death/doom metal band from Klagenfurt, Austria formed in 2021.
Their debut EP »Cryptal Echoes« delivers 30 minutes of insane and tortured death doom. It’s raw and desperate sounding, while still maintaining the perfect amount of heft and volume to blow you clean out of your chair.
Cryptal Echoes take the long form, odd structures of early Finnish death metal a la Rippikoulu or Thergothon and combine it with the dirge and sonic assault of bands like Corrupted & Grief. If you like your death metal dirty like we do, then you’re sure to enjoy Cryptal Echoes.
Ryte (Vienna, Austria)
In mid- 2016, Hannes, Arik & Shardik decided to start a new project together. Arik & Shardik, at that time have already been playing several years together in Pastor and were looking for someone to jam with. By chance they met drummer Hannes at a Saviours show in Vienna. Shortly afterwards Ryte was founded. The only thing that was still missing was a bass player. The band finally found the last missing part in late 2016 and was then a complete four-piece with Lukas on bass. They spent at least one intense year of continuous rehearsals and songwriting sessions in order to get a live-set and of course, an album together. In late 2017 they set up their very first (private) show at their rehearsal space in Vienna, spiked with a mind-blowing liquid light show done by Ufonauten. Then, in 2018 and 2019 they were lucky enough to play festivals like Lake On Fire, Stick & Stone and share stages with amazing like-minded bands such as Sacri Monti, Golden Void and Mothers of the Land just to name a few! Since day one, the band’s goal was to play sophisticated, mostly instrumental heavy psych with little hints of classic prog, space rock, doom and plenty of other stuff. Speaking of influences, the band is not limited by any means as long as it sounds fresh and interesting and does the band’s initial idea of adventurous heaviness justice. Ryte’s self-titled debut album dropped in 2020 via Heavy Psych Sounds!
Franz Fuexe (Mostviertel, Austria)
The quartet Franz Fuexe, based in the Lower Austrian Mostviertel region, is currently one of the most outstanding bands in Austria thanks to its musical body tension and ideological attitude.
Franz Fuexe combine the best of punk and rap: violence against Nazis and the police. Since their debut album, »Nihilismus 0.0« (2014), the four Mostviertel natives have been actively working to be placed under surveillance by the Federal office for the protection of the constitution (Verfassungsschutz), and if they didn’t end up behind bars as enemies of the state after the release of their latest album in autumn 2022, they have truly failed in their artistic goals.
