Elisa Giulia Teschner comments: “This is »Crawl« – a slow descent into the shadowed corners of the self – where melancholy doesn’t strike like lightning, but seeps in, quiet and relentless. It lingers, it clings, it pulls you under. »Crawl« is a sonic embodiment of that weight – heavy guitars, a mournful synth, and drums that echo like distant thunder. Each element moves with intention, mirroring the feeling of being slowly overtaken by something you can’t quite name, but deeply feel. It’s not a scream – it’s a whisper that wraps around your heart and stays. A chapter from »Umbra«, out November 7th via Eisenwald.”

This is »Umbra« – the shadow, the unseen, the weight beneath the light. With her second album, Ellereve descends deeper into emotional and sonic terrain – a bold evolution shaped by vulnerability, intensity, and contrast.

»Umbra« is a record of duality: fragile yet forceful, introspective yet eruptive. It weaves together a rich palette of genres – from ethereal atmospheres to crushing post-metal riffs and carries a sense of tension throughout, as if always moving between collapse and clarity.

This time, the sound is heavier, darker, more defiant. Drawing from the depths of post-metal, doom, and blackened textures, Ellereve explores the complexity of emotion without ever losing the haunting, cinematic essence that defines her musical identity. An unexpected shift, perhaps – but one that feels necessary. »Umbra« doesn’t just follow a path. It carves one.

»Umbra« was recorded & produced together with Salomon Appiah, with mix and mastering duties handled by Markus Stock at Klangschmiede Studio E.
