Canadian heavy fuzz rockers Gnarwhal release new single »Circuits«, a doom-soaked dive into northern sludge!

Yellowknife, Northwest Territories based heavy fuzz rockers Gnarwhal have released new single and music video »Circuits«, available now for streaming on all major digital platforms.

»Circuits« is the first single taken from Gnarwhal’s upcoming second studio album, scheduled for release in March 2026.

Today, Yellowknife heavy alternative fuzz rock band Gnarwhal release their new single »Circuits«, alongside an official lyric video.

»Circuits« finds the band digging deeper into their signature Northern sludge, where fuzz-drenched riffs, hypnotic grooves, and doom-soaked weight collide with themes of power, decay, and disconnection. The track pulses with synthetic life and raw emotion, blurring the line between man and machine in a storm of distorted truth. As haunting as it is heavy, »Circuits« is a cry from the wires, betrayed, rewritten, and burning at both ends.

Formed in 2022, Gnarwhal have been carving out a distinct voice in Canada’s heavy underground. Their 2023 self-titled debut album earned a Western Canadian Music Award nomination, while 2024’s »Altered States« EP pushed their sound into spacier, experimental territory without losing the low-end punch and emotional weight that defines their music. DIY to the core, the band has toured extensively across Canada, transforming basements, bars, and proper stages into sweat-soaked sonic assaults.

»Circuits« marks the first glimpse of Gnarwhal’s forthcoming sophomore full-length, due in March 2026, an album that promises to be even heavier, sharper, and more unapologetically their own.
