Taiwanese heavy psych rock band Holotropics release new single and lyric video »Alive« in collaboration with Tofu Kingdom!

Kaohsiung, Taiwan based heavy psych rock band Holotropics premiere the second single and lyric video »Alive« taken from their upcoming sophomore album, »Yuanfen«, set to release on September 7th, 2025.

The new single »Alive« is a collaboration with Hong Kong shoegaze band Tofu Kingdom.

Holotropics isn’t a band that’s easy to define. While the Kaohsiung-based four-piece uses psychedelia as its anchor, Holotropics isn’t afraid to incorporate diverse influences into its sound. From punk and garage rock to experimental and world music, Holotropics creates a unique form of psychedelic rock that can be both energetic and ethereal, heavy yet harmonious. Powerful guitar riffs, cosmic soundscapes, and multi-lingual lyrics delving into environmentalism, mysticism, and the human condition show that Holotropics is willing to evolve and grow outside traditional genre boundaries.
