Monovoth is an instrumental project from Argentina, founded in 2021 by Lucas Wyssbrod (MΩSTRO, Golden Cannibal, Blvgth), that blends doom metal, post-metal, death metal, and dark ambient.

Following the debut »Monovoth« (2022) and acclaimed »Pleroma Mortem Est« (2024) via Trepanation Recordings, plus the experimental EP »Elogioa la Noche« (2024), the band now unveils their most ambitious work: »To Live In The Breath Of Worship«.

Album features guest contributions by Kevin Hufnagel (Gorguts, Dysrhythmia) and Andrew Notsch (Manipulator, ex-Sunless) among other incredible artists from the Argentine underground.

Artwork by surrealist painter Santiago Caruso (Avernal, Wode, Psicosfera, Downfall Of Nur) unfolds a visual universe of decaying faith and transcendence.

Monovoth expands doom metal’s boundaries with fearless experimentation, weaving black, death, and crust elements into a sound that is both harrowing and transcendent. This is not just an album – it’s a declaration.

»To Live In The Breath Of Worship« channels the spiritual intensity of Amenra, the cinematic grandeur of Cult Of Luna, and the crushing weight of Bell Witch and Primitive Man, while embracing the atmospheric scope of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and the meditative depth of Yob.

A dystopian liturgy of blazing guitars, cursed melodies, and fractured rhythms, the album explores themes of decaying faith and lonely gods. The visual aspect, crafted by surrealist master Santiago Caruso, mirrors its thematic depth.

Featuring guest appearances by Kevin Hufnagel (Gorguts, Dysrhythmia), Andrew Notsch (Manipulator, ex-Sunless), and a cadre of Argentina’s finest underground talents, this is a collaborative triumph that transcends borders and genres.
