US progressive/doom/thrash metal band Mother Crone unveil new single »Unseen Way« from forthcoming album »Embrace The Death«

Seattle, Washington based progressive/doom/thrash metal band Mother Crone has unveiled new single »Unseen Way« taken from their forthcoming second full-length album, »Embrace The Death«, set to release on March 4th, 2026.

»Unseen Way« was premiered recently on Decibel Magazine!

Forming from a diverse background, converging in the Pudget Sound area of WA, Mother Crone utilize a variety of influences ranging from the likes of Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, and Pantera to Bison B.C., Alcest, and Shrinebuilder to create a heavy and dynamic exploration of progressive and post-metal riffs which dance between the realms of doom, thrash, and groove metal.

Formed in 2013 Mother Crone wrote and released their debut »Awakening« in 2015. After touring extensively for two years Mother Crone slowed down to attend to the demands of family life. Now, having recorded their sophomore album »Embrace The Death«, Mother Crone return with a new and stronger line up comprised of bassist Preston Wilson, drummer Charlie Romano, guitarist Edoardo Curatolo, and guitarist/vocalist Joe Frothingham prepared to raise the standards of energy and execution in the Seattle scene and beyond.

Guitarist/vocalist Joe Frothingham says about the new single: “I view »Unseen Way« as an entry point into a journey that endeavors to confront that in my past which I’ve been too afraid or ashamed to face. In the late ’90s, when I was a teenager, my life collapsed in multiple ways over the course of about three years. It was awful. This whole record is my attempt to bring some closure to the grief, guilt and shame that have been fairly crippling ever since. This song in particular is kind of a threshold, a briefing as well as a prep talk about the coming journey, laying out the stakes and costs of what is to come. Ultimately the song culminates in surrender to both what has been and to facing what is to come.”

Mother Crone is:
Joe Frothingham – Guitar, Vocals
Edoardo Curatolo – Guitar
Preston Wilson – Bass
Charlie Romano – Drums
